MBChB (distinction), MPhil, MRCGP
GMC 7447740
Private General Practitioner
My name is Dr Albert Tan and I am a GP at Talbot Place.
Having been born and raised in North Staffordshire, I attended Keele University Medical School and graduated in 2014. During my undergraduate training I obtained an MPhil whilst undertaking and publishing research in epidemiology and musculoskeletal health. I have completed training in endocrinology, paediatrics, urology, emergency medicine, oncology, psychiatry and substance misuse.
I have particular interests in longevity and musculoskeletal health. I believe that the goal of healthcare should be to help maximise both the quality and the length of our lives. To achieve this, medical practice should be proactive rather than reactive – optimising health and preventing disease rather than reacting after it has already begun. In doing so this helps us to live long, healthy lives whilst preserving our physical and mental wellbeing.
In both my NHS and private practice, I prioritise scientific evidence and best medical practices, while always valuing the input and decision-making of my patients. My goal is to create a collaborative environment where your health is truly in your hands.
Outside of work I enjoy reading history, weightlifting and a wide range of sports.
